GAS LINES

Gas lines provide the necessary fuel to do our day-to-day tasks in our homes. They provide fuel to fireplaces, furnaces, kitchen appliances such as ovens, outdoor grills, boilers, water heaters, etc. You probably don’t realize how big an impact your gas lines are and how important it is to keep them in perfect working order. At Dr. Rescue we understand the potential danger when handling gas lines and our licensed plumbers practice all up to date safety regulations when handling all gas lines. It is dangerous to try and repair a gas line yourself. Our experts at Dr. Rescue will complete all repairs in a timely manner which saves you time and safety of you and your loved ones. Gas lines are a serious concern, no need to take the risk yourself.

Natural gas is common and affordable as well as efficient and safe. But, you should be aware of the dangers.  You need experts to handle your gas line installation and maintenance, or you risk a very dangerous accident. Only professionals should be handling it. However, improper installations, freezing temperatures, excavations, and gas pressure build up can burst gas lines allowing gas into your home. Carbon monoxide is a potentially dangerous by-product of the gas we use to run our homes. Inhaling it can cause several problems for your health and even cause an explosion.

If you or your family experience any physical symptoms such as headaches, dizziness or carbon monoxide poisoning leave immediately and call 911. Don’t risk damage to your loved ones or property. Gas is normally undetectable, but your utility company adds an odor to the gas to allow it to be easily detected before it causes you any serious problems, so you’ll know the moment there’s an issue. Many describe the odor as smelling like “rotten egg” so keep your noses open.

If you are able to do so safely, shut the gas valves off for you home. Don’t turn any electric devices or appliances on or off and get a safe distance away from your home before using your cell phone to call the authorities. Don’t start your vehicle. No smoking or open flames. Don’t attempt to locate or repair the leak yourself.

When our experts come out to your home, we will inspect your gas lines to locate the exact source of the leak. We’ll repair and replace it as necessary. If new gas lines are required, we can take care of that as well.

We recommend having inspections when purchasing an older home or if you are concerned.

Our safety compliant technicians will fix any gas line issues you experience and get your family back to feeling safe and doing the things you love! Give us a call 832-458-0642.
